Upcoming Virtual Bread Class

One of the most enjoyable parts of Fiore Market Cafe has been the opportunity to teach so many people how to make Fiore Market Cafe bread. We have been doing the classes since we opened.

Anne never liked the classes but she knew I enjoyed them and was supportive of me. What I like most about the class is the camaraderie that develops amongst the students. It feels like a big party without alcohol. I also like to banter back and forth with the students. But most of all I love to share my stories of Italy and what I have found in the beautiful country.

I will try my best to recreate a class that is as enjoyable as the classes we conducted in Anne’s Fleur.

I hope by next week to have our first class scheduled.

Here are a few things you’ll need for the bread class. You don’t have to have the exact sheet pans that I use, but these are the ones I use.

-1 cup measuring cup

– measuring spoons

– 2-4 cup measuring pitcher

– dough cutter

– 1/4 sheet pan

– 1/2 sheet pan

– bread rack

– parchment paper

– stainless steel bowls

– 3.5 quart stainless steel pot with lid

– plastic wrap

– bread flour

– kosher salt

– active yeast

– cornmeal

About Bill Disselhorst

I am a bloody Irishman, but a real Italian Wannabe. I'll take Italy over Los Angeles and Dublin any day. Give me a plate of homemade pasta and an espresso with lots of crema and when I am through eating and I'll think I am in heavan. View all posts by Bill Disselhorst
