Here is a little teaser from the cookbook. I especially love this photograph. I took it in 2005 during a trip to Italy. Take a close look at these hands. They are the hands of a worker, a very gifted cook.

Wow. Mama Anna’s hands remind me of my grandmother’s hands. She’d prepare the most memorable meals of my life and she cooked for a nearly neighborhood restaurant and went in early before opening. she took me sometimes and I remember the mammoth pot of gumbo she’d make and rice and pralines. She’s passed on now yet your post took me to a special place in my heart remember her taking my hands and feeling her strength courage and And power. Such unforgettable memories smells times and love that never dies! Thanks
