It’s been quite a while since I have posted. I do apologize. A lot has been happening and I have been getting home too late to post on the blog.
Spring has sprung. We have done quite a bit of planting. We have 9 of Lilly’s tomato plants in the raised beds. I have tomato seedlings that are starting to mature. If anyone would like some tomato seedlings please stop by.
I planted basil, Italian parley, purple eggplant, cucumbers and two varieties of chili peppers. I plan on planting more later this week.
We did not schedule any classes in April mainly because we needed a break. I will schedule two class in May.
We will schedule a Polenta Fest for a Thursday evening in May.
This month we are doing quite a bit of catering. If you are interested in catering, please let us know.
One last thing:
My wish and desire is for us to take a group of individuals to Italy in the fall for a week of cooking classes. We would like to do it during the time of the olive harvest. A friend of mine owns a small plot of land with 30 olive trees. In 2008 my son Patrick and I spent a few days with Stefano and his family harvesting his olives. We took them to the mill had had the olives pressed. It was quite an experience. I would love for a group of our customers to be able to experience this.
This is definitely a dream because I am not sure we could leave the restaurant to do this, but I would like to throw it out there to see how many people would be interested. As of right now, I do not know what the price would be.
If you might be interested let us know. Send an email or post a comment.
Here are a few photos from today.
