New Basil

Just planted some  basil in a new raised bed that we built yesterday. Basil has been the one herb that’s lacking in our garden, mainly due to not planting enough, but also due to lack of exposure to the sun. Hopefully this new bed will solve our problem.

Rehearsal Dinner

We hosted a rehearsal dinner for Paul and Kristine on Friday night. Here are a few photographs from the evening. The patio is a terrific spot for a private party. If you are interested in having a party at Fiore give Anne and I a call.

Full of Tomatoes

We are full of tomatoes. The vines are heavy. We are looking for new and exciting ways to use our tomatoes and today is only July 1st. I planted the tomatoes early  and now we reap the rewards. Tomorrow, I am pairing the garden tomatoes with some fresh burratta cheese, our grilled bread and a splash of the homemade pesto.

Here are a few other photographs. I love our pickles. We do not cook them so they stay bright green. They are crisp and great on the short rib sandwich. We are hoping to bottle them soon and offer them in the deli case. Let us know if you are interested.

Here are a few more from today. The late afternoon sun was amazing. Have a great 4th of July.
